Upgrade of Lost Lake Trail, Lake Tahoe. In the 2003 summer I lead a team of Nevada Conservation Corps members in upgrading the Lost Lake trail at Sugar Pine Point State Park, California to Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A) standard. One of the more challanging aspects of this project was the building of an overhead wooden truss bridge.
		Skyline set up. In order to safely install the heavy trusses a skyline was used. This required climbing trees to put the snatch blocks and other rigging in place.
		Installing truss. With the sky line supporting its weight, crew members guide the truss into place and bolt it in position.
		Completed bridge. With the trusses, braces and cradle in place, load at the bridge center is transfered to either end effectively halving its span from 24 ft to 12 ft.
